Job Description
SPINE is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It’s a third-person beat’em’up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.
We are currently looking for a 3D Animator (Locomotion and Stunts) to join the animation team of our flagship project – Spine.
Responsibilities:
- Character animation
- Working with motion capture
- Working on game projects, mainly on locomotion, parkour, and various stunts
What we are looking for:
- Strong understanding of animation principles
- 2+ years of experience creating character animation for games, film, or television
- Good knowledge of Maya
- Strong body mechanics and action animation skills: walking, running, jumping, stunts, etc
- Experience setting up locomotion systems in Unity or Unreal is a plus
- Good understanding of animation rigs and common animation workflows and tools (animBot, center of mass, and similar)
- Openness to feedback and understanding of the iterative process
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A strong interest in video games and animated films
Will be a plus:
- Rigging and skinning
- Understanding of Python/MEL
- An art education
